Illegal Immigration

Is the US being destroyed by illegal immigrants coming across our borders? 

The issue of illegal immigrants has to be addressed separately for:

a. the illegal immigrants who are already here, and

b. the yet-to-be illegal immigrants who haven't yet crossed the border?

The most recent statistics available are for 2014, show an estimated 11.3 million illegal immigrants living in the US.  This is down from a peak of 12.2 million in 2007.  The reduction in the number would indicate that in the past few years there are more illegals leaving the country than sneaking in.  

Given the above, is a wall worth it?
