The biggest threat to a democracy is an uninformed or complacent electorate.

The Emperor's New Clothes® (TENC®) seeks to inform and engage today’s youth by shedding light on things as they really are on topics ranging from politics to the economy, the environment, and society.

The TENC® platform currently encompasses a website and a network of high-school clubs across multiple states. TENC® was created by teens for teens, to be a source of unbiased facts and to cut through the noise that often muddies key issues in the mainstream media. Our members, who are primarily high-school juniors and seniors, are extremely engaged and informed, and our goal is to create a generation of engaged citizens by raising their awareness of key issues.

Note: We are currently revamping our content and distribution strategy in order to achieve a sustainable, national footprint. During this time there will only be limited updates to the website content, for which we apologize. If you would like us to notify you in advance of our relaunch date, please email us at: info@tenc.us

A Brief History

The Emperor's New Clothes® was started in 2016 by a group of teens from Los Angeles who were tired of adults saying things without even giving a thought to what the truth actually is. We had previously covered numerous political events, including multiple presidential primary debates and the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio during the 2016 election cycle. TENC® members have been featured on CNN, NBC News’ “Stay Tuned,” and more.
